What is FIT?
FIT is an IT industry led initiative which has the two fold complementary objectives of meeting labour shortages in the IT industry while creating job opportunities for the long-term unemployed

What can they do for me?
In Northern Ireland's fast-expanding IT industry there are a number of unfilled positions.  FIT recognises that there are also quite a number of long-term unemployed people who are intelligent, enthusiastic and capable of being trained for these positions. By providing you with targeted training, support and opportunity, the FIT initiative enables you to develop a new career and enjoy genuine long-term prospects, working in information technology.

Who is behind FIT?
The Board of Directors of FIT Ltd, involves representatives from some of the largest IT companies in the country such as Una Halligan - Hewlett Packard, Manus Hanratty - AOL Technologies, Tom Rourke - CSC, Austin McCabe - Symantec, Tim McCarthy - Dell, Brendan Butler - IBEC, Pat Nolan - Co-chairman FIT, Michael O'Callaghan - Oracle, Tony O'Dowd - Alchemy, Gerry Quinn - Eircom, Ann Riordan - Independent, Elaine Stephen - IBM.
